How we handle the information you share with us at coders.africa.
Last updated: 12 May 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Coders Africa ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects information when you visit coders.africa, contact us through this site, or engage us as a client. We are based in Nairobi, Kenya and operate under the Data Protection Act, 2019 (Kenya).
We collect a small amount of information, in two ways:
Contact form messages are kept in our inbox and CRM for as long as is useful to the conversation, and at most for seven (7) years to satisfy Kenyan tax record-keeping rules. Engagement records, contracts and invoices are kept for the same period. Server logs are rotated regularly and typically retained for 30 days.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only to the extent needed:
Some of the providers above are based outside Kenya. Where personal data moves outside Kenya, we rely on the appropriate safeguards under the Data Protection Act, 2019 and the providers' own data processing terms.
coders.africa uses only the cookies strictly required to serve the site and, if enabled, a privacy-friendly analytics tool to count visits anonymously. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 (Kenya), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (Kenya).
We use TLS for all traffic to coders.africa, restrict access to client data to people who need it, and follow standard hardening practices on our servers. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we treat client data with care.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the latest revision.
